Joe grew up in Palm Beach County and currently lives along the Loxahatchee River in Tequesta. He holds a degree in Ocean Engineering from Florida Atlantic University and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
He received his degree while employed as a marina dockmaster. Joe joined the Jupiter Inlet District as Executive Director in 2019. During his career as a coastal engineer, he has worked in the private and public sectors, focusing on coastal systems and processes, navigation, ecosystem restoration, shoreline preservation, and inlet management.
As a local resident and lifelong boater, Joe acutely understands the importance of the Jupiter Inlet and Loxahatchee River to the region.
