Notice to Boaters: Inlet Shoal Area and Downed Channel Markers

Due to shoaling in the inlet's throat, eight (8) temporary marker buoys were installed by the District, as authorized by the US Coast Guard (USCG), to aid in navigation.  The selected marker design minimizes the possibility for vessel impact damage.

In addition, the quarterly inspection of all channel markers maintained by the District identified three missing pilings, five buoys in need of repair, two lights in need of replacement and two day-marker signs that need to be replaced.

The Jupiter Inlet District is working with its vendors to address these issues as quickly as possible.  Please use caution in the areas.
